The archive is chronological because chronology matters. It shows how the person became the work,
how the work fed the creative life, how family and loss shaped both, and how the line kept going
through every change in role, tone, ambition, and circumstance.

PERIODS

1972–1994 — beginnings, family, place, formation, pre-career years

1995–2007 — first job, publishing, early professional line, emerging adult life

2008–2019 — marriage, work, books, consulting, teaching, middle years

2020–PRESENT — grief, reinvention, PIL, music return, books, fatherhood, continuation

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Most sites hide the timeline. This one depends on it. The record only makes sense when viewed
as accumulation, loss, repetition, and return.
